To me, jewellery serves as a language through which the wearer communicates with the world to express their ideas. I believe that different materials, combinations, and techniques convey different meanings, rather than simply showcasing a stone. In my opinion, the materials used in jewellery are not limited to precious metals. As I discussed in the Measure project, women are now so concerned with the so-called “standard figures” that they don’t consider whether they fit them. At first, I used precious metal, but its regular shape did not provide the desired discomfort to the wearer. After experimenting with various materials, I decided to use tape for the jewellery set. In The Secret of Jewellery, I retrieved lost jewellery from people’s memories and restored the stories behind them - the subjective and objective influences that make their existence a secret. While investigating lost jewellery across different age groups, I was particularly struck by the children’s jewellery. It became clear that for children, jewellery is anything that can be worn. This experience reinforced the idea that anything can be considered jewellery.

对我而言，首饰是一种语言，是佩戴者与外界沟通的方式，是将想法视觉化的一种表现形式。我觉得不同材料、不同组合、不同工艺都有不同的意义，而不是单单为了去凸显一颗宝石。首饰的材料在我看来并不局限于贵金属，就像我在《Measure》这个项目中讨论“现在的女性都太在乎所谓的“标准数据”而忽略了这个数据是否合适自己”。起初我习惯性的用了贵金属去制作，但是由于用金属制作的首饰形状十分规整，无法带给佩戴者束缚感。在尝试各种材料后，最终决定用胶带这个材料去做这套首饰。在《首饰的秘密》项目中我复原了人们记忆中丢失的首饰并还原了这些丢失首饰的故事——这些丢失的首饰因为主观和客观的影响，让它们的存在成为了一种秘密。在调查不同年龄层丢失的首饰时，小朋友的首饰让我印象深刻，因为我发现对他们而言只要这个东西可以佩戴那就是首饰，让我知道万物皆可是首饰。
