My name is Chundi Wang (Wendy), and I grew up in both the Republic of Sudan and Heilongjiang, China. Experiencing constant diversified cultural shock, I have shaped my unique perspective of life. In fact, I am accustomed to deconstructing traditional definitions and expressing them in grotesque and exaggerated forms. My works are full of strong emotions — I can feel love, fear or loneliness from the diversification of colour and wild imagination. This is my fantasy world.

This series of works are created through my observing life, such as the internet and people living around me, especially lives during the epidemic. I feel the “chaos”of people’s thoughts and behaviours hidden in the “orderly” life. Therefore, in my works, I express these explosive and fluidity of human thoughts and the love, loneliness and fear, which are constantly highlighted under the epidemic situation in a variety of artistic forms and methods.

我叫，成长于苏丹共和国和中国黑龙江。成长环境中不断遭遇的文化冲突塑造了我观察生活独特的角度。我习惯于重新解构传统定义，使用怪诞、夸张的形式进行表达。我的作品中充沛着强烈的情感，可以从五彩斑斓的色彩和天马行空的想象中感受到爱，恐惧或者孤独，这也是属于我的奇幻世界。

这个系列的作品是通过观察生活，特别是在疫情期间人们的生活所创造的。我感受到了人们在“秩序”的生活中隐藏的思想和行为的“混乱”，因而在作品中，我把这些人类思想爆炸性和流动性，疫情下不断凸显的爱、孤独和恐惧，采用多种艺术形式和方法进行表达。
