I have been accepted into the Collaborative Arts program at Tisch, NYU. I have always been very interested in digital media and filmmaking.

Therefore, throughout my application process, I have created my first documentary piece exploring my hometown, Shanghai. I have always been fascinated by the idea of gentrification within the city. Therefore, I have created this documentary exploring the idea of gentrification via the perspective of visual storytelling from two generations: the older generation versus Gen Z. The editing style within my film also reflects the contrast between the two groups of people. I have produced, directed, shot, and casted my film myself over a span of 3 months.

As for my other short film, "I Dance Because I Am Lost," it is based on a dancer. I wanted to experiment with different uses of aesthetics within filmmaking; therefore, documentaries use a very calming and slow pace, as well as following a narrative approach..

我今年申请上了纽约大学帝势艺术学院。一直以来我都非常喜欢数字媒体与电影制作。在我大学的申请准备中，我创作了第一部关于探索家乡上海的纪录片。

受到上海城市快速更迭的吸引，我希望能通过老一辈人与Z时代年轻人两个不同的视角来讲述城市故事。影片的编辑风格也试图在突出这两个群体人本身的对比，因而延伸至城市变革的对比。在将近三个月的时间里我自己负责了制片、导演、拍摄、选角的所有步骤。同样在我创作的《我舞蹈因为我悲伤》这部短片中，选择以一位舞者为主角。两部作品我都尝试探索不同的电影制作过程的美学风格，以一种平静、缓慢的节奏循循渐进的讲述我想表达的故事。
