I have always found images to be a profoundly mysterious medium. Our eyes are constantly taking in vast amounts of visual information that resembles reality but isn't quite reality itself, while our minds are occupied with a myriad of thoughts. Influenced by the concept of "private photography" from Japan, I've had the desire to invent a language that is tangible to people. I prefer to capture images in an unconscious state, allowing my actions (body) to lead before my consciousness (mind) confronts the raw essence of the human world. In my work Blooming Star, I aim to portray intimacy, encompassing the confusion, contradictions and connection between inner and outer worlds experienced during adolescence. I strive to reintroduce an innocent perspective to the observation of our bodies.
I often contemplate whether I exist within the photograph. To me, my images embody the manifestation of my subconscious in the tangible world. In my works But I Know What It Is and I Know How Furiously Your Heart Is Beating, I probed the world, myself, and my attitude towards them. My images capture what my perception yearns to preserve; I strive for their authenticity, allowing the image to become a pure “projection”.
我一直觉得影像是一种非常神奇的媒介,我们的眼睛每天都在大量的观看与现实非常接近,但又不是现实本身的照片,不断地在思考各种各样的事情。
受日本“私摄影”的影响,我一直想发明一种能让人看得见的语言。我喜欢在无意识的拍摄状态,“让自己的行动(身体)走在意识(头脑)之前”。直面“混沌”的人类世界原本的样子。在我的作品《火·山灿》(Blooming Star)当中我想去表现私密性,即青春期成长阶段的困惑,矛盾以及内心与外部世界的联系,我希望重新灌输一纯真的理念来观察我们的身体。我经常会问自己,那我自己是否在照片里呢?对我来说,我的影像是我潜意识在现实世界的显影。在我的作品《但我知道那是什么》(But I Know What It Is)和《我知道你的心跳有多厉害》(I Know How Furiously Your Heart Is Beating)我对世界的,对自身的提问,也有我对于对世界,对自身的态度。我拍出来的影像,是我在寻找地迫切想保留的知觉,我只想它们是真实的就好,让图像成为纯粹的“投影”。
